Transfer Peer Mentors and Educators support our new transfer students throughout their first year at Santa Clara University. Peer mentors create community during LEAD Week, meet regularly with their mentees throughout their first year and plan activities for their mentoring groups. Transfer peer educators are a source of support and information in the Advanced LEAD Seminar class that introduces transfer students to SCU resources and leadership opportunities.

Transfer Peer Mentor

Hi my name's Isabel Espinoza! I am from Alviso in North San Jose. I'm a senior studying English and minoring in Creative Writing. My favorite class I've taken at SCU thus far has been Dr. Danielle Morgan's Women & Gender in American Literature class focusing on Women of Color Writers in the 21st-century.

A few fun facts about me are I'm a published writer! I love to write poems in my free time, and rewatching my favorite comfort shows.

In addition to being part of LEAD, I am also the Co-President of the recently renewed Transfer Student Union (TSU).

I look forward to meeting all of you!
