Linda Soto
Linda Soto

Hello! My name is Linda Soto. I am from from Castro Valley, California (a town in the East Bay). I am a first-year student currently double-majoring in Child Studies and Sociology. My favorite class I've taken at Santa Clara so far has been my Child Studies 196 Seminar due to the engaging conversations that unfold that surround the topic of educational equity, diversity, and reform.

A few fun facts about me are that I have a great fondness for spicy foods and will prefer a savory meal to a sweet one any day, I have a small dog named Chusca, and I love watching historical movies and documentaries.

In addition to LEAD, my involvements at Santa Clara include Future Child Advocates, a Future Teachers Project (FTP) Fellow, and I also serve as an undergraduate research assistant for the Youth for Justice Project directed by Dr. Jesica Fernández in the Ethnic Studies Department.

I am looking forward to meeting all of you!
