Hi, my name is Sara Lamarque and I am from Palo Alto, just 20 minutes north of SC. I am a first year studying Economics through the college of Arts and Sciences. My favorite class I've taken at SCU so far has been CTW as it allowed me to explore all kinds of topics, and also introduced me to a really supportive group of LEAD students.
A few fun facts about me are that I love going on hikes, I did not know about SCU until one week before I applied regular decision, and I love listening and dancing to Latin music.
In addition to LEAD, I am also a part of Foundation for a College Education (FCE) which is a college preparatory program in East Palo Alto that helps and supports low income minority students throughout their college application process and beyond. I am also part of the Peninsula College Fund which is a Bay Area based scholarship program.
