Francisco Rivera co-authored a report which calls for a new global treaty to address violence against women and girls

Professor Francisco Rivera co-authored a newly published report, Safer Sooner, making the case for a new global treaty to address violence against women and girls. Read Safer Sooner in its entirety here.

Professor Rivera and students participating in the law school's International Human Rights Clinic have worked on this issue for the past six years, and in 2015 published a report analyzing violence against women in the Americas, available here. The research done by Santa Clara Law students was invaluable to each of these reports, which is acknowledged on page 119 of the Safer Sooner report.
