About CGLP

“Because international law is a vast, diverse, and complex field of law, Santa Clara Law’s summer study abroad program is valuable to any student who is interested in a career in international law or simply wants to improve his or her understanding of how the law is organized and enforced in the international context. Not to mention, it helps treat wanderlust!”

International Law Alumni

Santa Clara alumni provide tremendous opportunities for our law students. Successful alumni in prominent places can mentor and guide our future graduates. Our alumni around the globe include the former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Northern Mariana Islands, a former Commissioner on the National Human Rights Commission in Korea, a Legal Officer at the International Criminal Court, and numerous attorneys in private practice in firms in China, Germany, and other countries.

International Law Curriculum

This page has two purposes. First, it lists courses recently offered as part of the international and comparative law curriculum.

Second, we anticipate offering certain courses on a predictable schedule. Where possible, we have indicated our expected plan. However, courses come and go and faculty members change their plans, so this page is necessarily incomplete and subject to change. If you want to know if a particular course is being offered at a particular time, please contact CGLP and we may be able to provide you with more current information about a course’s availability.

Note: where a course indicates that it will be offered at the instructor’s discretion, we encourage you to take the course whenever it is available because it will probably not be offered a second time while you are attending law school.
