How to Find an Externship
Any position where a student performs substantial legal work under direct supervision of an attorney can be an externship. Once you secure a position, submit an application to ExPro for approval of your externship.
To enroll in Externship credit, students must submit a Student Registration Form.
Check the Santa Clara Law Jobs site for open positions. The jobs site is a great resource for finding externships, but keep in mind there are many positions out there that are not posted. You should also search the internet, speak to your classmates about their externship experiences, and engage in some good old fashioned networking.
