Dear Staff Colleagues,
At the end of an unprecedented week in higher ed and our nation, I write to thank you for your generous and patient response to the move to virtual instruction and remote working, as well as other unexpected changes on campus. I also recognize that you are making these adjustments among other challenges you face in your family and home communities. Your generosity to one another, your creativity, flexibility, and patience truly represent the Bronco spirit!
Earlier today, I sent the attached homemade video to our students. I wanted to speak to them directly, as I know all of this is hitting them particularly hard, especially graduating students and the younger among them who are trying to make sense (again) of the world they live in. Our care for them—our cura personalis—has been so, so important as we extend our web of support where we can. Thank you for the many ways that you have supported our students directly and indirectly. Every contribution matters.
You have seen and will see more emails with updates, but I wanted to send you now a more personal note, and this video, as an expression of gratitude and solidarity.
Take care,
Kevin F. O'Brien, S.J.
President
