Ceremony & ISS Sash Conferral | 2:30 PM

Co-Sponsored by JST Office of Student & Community Life & SCU International Students and Scholars

Come celebrate the JST-SCU 2023 international graduates! There will be a short ceremony and sash conferral by SCU Internation Students and Scholars at 2:30 PM, but stop by anytime between 2:00-4:00 PM for celebratory desserts as we recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of JST's international graduates!

Spiritual Formation & Liturgy

Prayer Periods | Gesù Chapel

Tuesday to Wednesday, 12:30-1:15 PM

The chapel is open for silent prayer periods Tuesday to Thursday from 12:30 to 1:15 PM. The bell is tolled at the start of each period. This week, the chapel will be in use for rehearsals and preparation for the weekend on both Thursday and Friday, so we will not hold the dedicated meditation periods.

Liturgies | Gesù Chapel

Tuesday, 5/16

On Tuesday evening, the liturgy will be a typical weekday liturgy rather than a customary community mass with music in light of the weekend’s several celebrations.

Wednesday, 5/17

On Wednesday, the liturgy will be celebrated in Spanish.

Thursday, 5/18

On Thursday evening, Loi Nguyen will preach when scheduled to serve as Deacon.

Friday, 5/19

On Friday evening, Julie Rubio will preach at our Commencement liturgy

Lay Sending - Saturday, May 20, 10 AM
Those graduating who will participate in the Lay Sending liturgy are asked to be present at 9 AM for final preparations.

Liturgy Calendar
Following Commencement, liturgies will continue through to Friday, May 26, 2023. On Wednesday, August 2nd, JST will celebrate the Feast of Peter Faber with the Jesuit community with a noon mass in Gesù. Our evening liturgy schedule will resume in Gesù on Tuesday, August 15, 2023.

The Chaplaincy Innovation Lab is hosting a free webinar to “educate, empower and equip chaplains to provide spiritual care to people with disabilities (PWD) without inherent bias” on May 30, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
