This coming Wednesday, May 11th, please join members of JST's Laudato Si' Action Platform Team at the JST courtyard bell outside the Gesú Chapel at 11am for a prayer service calling attention to the urgency of the climate crisis. In addition to offering a lament for the destruction of the Earth, we will also implore those in power to act with compassion and justice toward creation to reverse the harm that has been done to our planet. Come and pray with us at 11am on the 11th as we bear witness to our fragile Earth, our common home.

• Offer of accommodations for the workshop on Saturday, May 14, 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Santa Clara University:  
  Beyond "Bad Apples": Understanding Clergy Sexual Abuse as a Structural Problem and Cultivating Strategies for Change

  In order to facilitate participation by JST students, the grant project team is booking a block of rooms at the Sonesta Suites across the street from the university.   Students  may be able to stay over on Friday night, May 13, free of charge, so as to make it easier to attend the workshop on Saturday morning.   If you are interested in this offer of accommodations, please contact Aaron Willis (awillis@scu.edu) in the SCU Ignatian Center as soon as possible. This workshop is an exciting opportunity to hear the results of the study and contribute to considering next steps for schools of theology and ministry like JST, as well as parishes, universities, high schools, etc. 

   
• JST's student journal New Horizons is seeking academic papers, pastoral reflections, and art from graduate students on themes of violence and peace. Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis and are due by May 31, 2022, to be published in August 2022.
