Population

 

Data are as of census and are presented by academic term.

Includes:

Excludes:

  • Continuing Education Career
  • Pathway and Continuing Education clusters
  • Students who are auditing all of the classes in which they are enrolled                                                       

Function

  The Enrollment visualization presents an in-depth view of student enrollments for the selected term by college, cluster, and award level.                                                  

Special Notes

 
  • All but Law and Jesuit School of Theology are on the quarter system. For Jesuit School of Theology, Winter term is presented, though enrollment during that term is limited. For Law, enrollment appears only in Fall, Spring and Summer terms. As a result, Winter graduate enrollment totals are lower when compared with Fall and Spring terms.
  • Some students concurrently pursuing a Certificate and a Master's degree were not set up in PeopleSoft to pursue two separate degrees and may appear with the Master's as a second major.

General Special Notes

 
  • Name Changes in PeopleSoft - Names may change over time (e.g., academic plans, departments). All data are presented consistently over time, reflecting the most recent name. This may result in some differences from previously reported data and reports.
  • Retroactive changes in PeopleSoft - Retroactive changes are reflected in this visualization (e.g., late posted degrees, race/ethnicity, gender). This may result in some differences from previously reported data and reports.
  • Data Entry in PeopleSoft - Though the Office of Institutional Research conducts regular data audits and corrections, the volume, ubiquity, and persistence of data entry errors exceed capacity. While the overall error rate may be low, they often occur in bursts in a particular program or year. We encourage user feedback when data appear anomalous.

  The Summary dashboard displays the headcount and full-time equivalency (FTE) of enrolled students by term.

The Summary Gender & Race/Ethnicity dashboard displays the unduplicated headcount and percentage of enrolled students by term, race/ethnicity and gender, for graduate and undergraduate students.

  • Academic plan type: certificates, majors and minors                                                                                                   

Function

 

The Academic Plan Trends Comparison dashboard displays the plan declaration counts for the selected academic plan and the comparison field presented over the academic year, allowing for trend comparisons between an academic plan, cluster, or college/school.

Function

 

The Undergraduate Academic Plans Majors and Associations dashboard displays the associated majors and minors by term for the selected academic plan major. 

For example, selecting 'Economics' under the 'Academic Plan: Major' drop down will display the total number of Economics Majors in the primary/secondary positions, in addition to the other majors and minors of the selected students.
