Accompaniment and Intentional Communities
Experience living in an intentional intercultural community that supports each other’s spiritual and personal growth with love, acceptance, and understanding. While in Ecuador, Santa Clara students will be hosted by Rostro de Cristo. Rostro de Cristo partners with local efforts that respond to the basic needs to understand the causes of the injustices in which they live and recognize the dignity of every person and the diversity of the human family.
SCU students are invited to enter this community with humility and will spend most of their time developing relationships with local families through daily visits and helping out with the community after school programs for grade school children. The group will learn primarily about education and healthcare needs in the community with the aim of prioritizing authentic relationships and act to end unjust distribution of wealth and opportunity.
International Travel: This immersion includes traveling abroad, to apply you will need a valid passport and proof of vaccination. Passports should have at least six months of validity when traveling internationally.
