Spiritual Companioning
Spiritual Direction for Faculty and Staff
Spiritual Direction is an ongoing relationship between and “directee” (person seeking direction) and a “director” (qualified & training spiritual listener) to discuss the directee’s spiritual life in the presence of Spirit. Some people prefer to refer to this relationship as “spiritual companioning.” Through conversation and reflection, the directee becomes more attuned to the presence of the Holy in their life, and grows more open to respond more fully to Holy invitations in all areas of life. Spiritual Direction through the Ignatian Center is open to faculty and staff of any faith tradition or none.
The Ignatian Center embraces the tradition of spiritual companioning and spiritual direction as a centerpiece of the Ignatian spiritual tradition that undergirds the campus community.
