San Jose Immersion
The Ignatian Center kicked off the 2018-2019 school year by sending 13 new Broncos on a 4-day San Jose Immersion to introduce them to the realities of urban life within this Silicon Valley boom-town. Our students experienced first-hand some of the day-to-day issues faced by many within our neighboring communities. Just as importantly, they formed deep friendships and gained a better understanding of how to bring their Jesuit education to life.
New Ignatian Center Headquarters
Over the summer, the Ignatian Center relocated to 990 Benton, and we officially opened our doors to welcome students and colleagues in early September. This new space allows us to bring students and SCU community members together in larger numbers than ever before. We are confident our new headquarters will foster exciting collaboration among our colleagues and student body.
The Ignatian Corps
The fall quarter of 2018 sees the launch of our center's newest endeavor, the Ignatian Corps. Comprised of 50+ students currently employed by the Ignatian Center as interns, assistants, and community liaisons, the Ignatian Corps will foster student connections across disciplines and backgrounds, grounding their work with the Ignatian Center in the centuries-long tradition of Jesuit education.
With these efforts, the Ignatian Center strives to form men and women for others - here, there, and everywhere.
