Accompaniment and Solidarity
As we say goodbye to the summer of 2023, we feel a sense of excitement all across the University as students return to campus. Although the summer months provided time to reflect and plan, the energy and joy that the students bring to our work motivates and inspires us.
We are excited to welcome back the 15 Jean Donovan Fellows who dedicated their summers to accompaniment and solidarity with communities near and far. One of the most important priorities of the Ignatian Center programming is to cultivate empathy and help students deepen their commitment to be people for and with others. When you read their blogs, I know you’ll agree that our students model SCU’s ‘three Cs’: competence, conscience, and compassion.
