Seeking Justice and Peace
As we look back at the many stories we have shared with you since last summer, one thing is abundantly clear: Ignatian Center programs transform the lives of our SCU student participants. From Immersion trips to the US/Mexico border, to fellowships with nonprofit organizations, our students' commitment to justice comes alive through the relationships they forge with community partners. But this isn’t the whole story. Much of the Ignatian Center programming fosters personal and professional transformation in SCU faculty and staff when they participate in the Bannan Forum lectures, travel on faculty and staff Immersions, and experience the grace of Ignatian spiritual practices.

Our world is experiencing vast, unprecedented disruptions - the war in the Ukraine, the lasting effects of COVID-19 on our society, and a deepening awareness of the impacts of racial injustice. In times like these we turn to our foundation - Ignatian Spirituality. We invite you, our friends and supporters, to experience some of our Ignatian Spirituality programs that can offer a transforming hope in the possibility of justice and peace - here, there, and everywhere. |

This email series serves as an opportunity to connect with and celebrate the mission and tradition that unites Santa Clara University and the wider Jesuit network. Whether in times of crisis or in everyday situations, a deep engagement with the Jesuit mission shapes our actions and underpins our transformative vision of higher education.
Through staff-led guided Ignatian Contemplations, participants are invited to apply their five senses to a particular gospel scene from the life of Jesus and to contemplate what that experience might be inviting them to - in their own lives and in the lives of those around them.
The Lunchtime Examen was designed to provide a calm, welcoming presence for 8 minutes each week as we journey together in community through the Examen. Although the live sessions are only available to the SCU community, we invite you to view the recorded playlist via the link below.
