Dear Ignatian Center Friends and Supporters,
During the summer our pace changes. Our staff is able to take the time to regroup and plan for the new academic year, while our student fellows put down deeper roots and share more intensely in the communities they are serving. We can’t wait to share their stories when they return for fall quarter, full of excitement, new ideas, and passion to set the world on fire.
The relaxed schedule also allows us time to reflect on all of our great work this past academic year. I invite you to take a look at our ICJE program highlights to celebrate with us the 2023-24 successes. Thank you for all you have done to make this transformational programming possible!
Personally, I’m embarking on a change myself. My last day as Vice President for Mission and Ministry and Executive Director of the Ignatian Center is just around the corner. Serving SCU in this role since 2021, and for seven years as a faculty administrator at the Jesuit School of Theology, has been an honor filled with joy, challenge, and growth for me. As I look forward to new adventures in retirement, I count my time at SCU as one of the most meaningful blessings of my life’s journey. Your support has made all the difference to me and to the dedicated division staff serving alongside me.
Please be assured that you and our work for SCU will remain in my thoughts and prayers. I look forward to cheering on everyone involved with the Ignatian Center because our efforts transform lives and communities.
Throughout the 2023-24 academic year, the Ignatian Center provided students, faculty, staff, and the greater community with opportunities to embrace Jesuit wisdom by inspiring awareness, thought, reflection, discernment, and action - here, there, and everywhere.
