Big Hopes and Dreams for the Fall
Warmest wishes to our Ignatian Center community!
Against the backdrop of a hot and dry summer (at least here in Santa Clara!) and the ongoing challenges of our world, the compassion of our SCU students offers us great hope. We invite you to read about the 14 Jean Donovan Fellows who have dedicated their summers to accompaniment and solidarity with communities near and far. I know you’ll be deeply moved by their reflections which show wisdom and compassion that come from the authentic human relationships they have nurtured.
This transformative experience is the centerpiece of Ignatian Center programs and we are excited to invite the incoming Class of 2026 to engage in these opportunities. Through generous support and encouragement from our benefactors, we are able to offer this new class a path to becoming leaders of competence, conscience and most of all compassion.
2022 Jean Donovan Fellows
As the 2022 summer comes to an end, our 14 Jean Donovan Fellows wrap up their engagement with community-based organizations from around the country and share their experiences and reflections of this time spent in accompaniment with organizations addressing social justice issues.
