HR Office Hours: Our office hours and hours of operations are normal business hours: Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Additionally, HR staff will continue to be available via Zoom, email, phone, and by appointment.
Extension of the Staff Flexible Work Schedule Pilot Program
At the recommendation of the Staff Affairs Committee and the Department of Human Resources, the University Administration has extended the Staff Flexible Work Schedule Pilot Program. With the objective to incorporate the final recommendations of the pilot program into the revised Telecommuting/Remote Work Policy, Policy 307, the pilot program is being extended one last time through the end of May to align the end of the pilot program with the anticipated completion and implementation of the revised policy.
Staff employees, whose current flexible work schedule arrangement is ending on March 31, and who wish to extend their arrangement through the end of May are encouraged to submit in Workday a new flexible schedule request to cover the period of April 1 – May 31. Employees will be able to submit a flexible work schedule extention or new request effective Friday, April 1.
As a reminder, the pilot guidelines were previously updated to allow staff employees in their introductory period to participate.

Mark Your Calendar for Student Employee Appreciation Week
We would like to invite you to participate, along with other colleges and universities across the nation, in the National Student Employee Appreciation Week. The National Student Employee Week provides the opportunity to celebrate and recognize your student employees. This year the appreciation week will be April 10th -16th. We encourage you to begin planning some special recognition activities or events for your student employees. You can find more information and a list of suggested ideas here.
Staff Performance Evaluations Reminders
Performance Evaluations are due April 29, 2022. As a reminder, we will not automatically advance evaluations through the steps. Below is a recommended timeline to ensure completion by the April 29th due date. It is highly recommended to start the process by reviewing the Performance Evaluation Checklist.

- Self-Evaluation submit by 3/30/2022
- Manager Evaluation submit by 4/8/2022
- 2nd Level Approval submit by 4/15/2022
- Performance Evaluation Meeting complete by 4/22/2022
- Employee & Manager Acknowledgment submit by 4/29/2022

2021 Healthcare FSA and Dependent Care FSA Final Reminder
Final reminder to submit any Flexible Spending Account receipts dated between 1/1/2021 and 12/31/2021 to WEX for reimbursement before the 3/31/2022 run-out period. Any remaining funds will carry over and be made available for 2022 expenses.
