International Student Graduation Survey Data
Graduating international students shared their experience of SCU - see the survey results. Students reported feeling welcome on campus and made friends outside of their home culture. Students also reported their greatest challenge was working on-campus.

International Student Graduation Event
On June 13, we celebrated 427 graduating international students in the class of 2024. Students received stoles representing their home countries to wear at Commencement. Congratulations graduates! |
Partnerships and Delegations
Members of Global Engagement held meetings with current and potential international university partners at the NAFSA International Educators conference in New Orleans. Meetings included universities such as: University College Dublin, Australian Catholic University, Sophia University, Maastricht University, Universidad Deusto-San Sebastian, University College Cork, Queen Mary University, Lund University, and more. |

In addition, Global Engagement hosted a delegation from Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico City. The visit included the Provost and Deans who met with departments across the University throughout the day.
Get Started with Study Abroad This Summer
Students interested in learning more about undergraduate global programs through Santa Clara may register for the Get Started Advising Series in Camino. This course provides students with a comprehensive overview of questions to consider, eligibility requirements, and the application materials they'll be required to complete. Students will also be able to sign up for the Application Newsletter to stay up-to-date on all things study abroad, including deadline reminders and upcoming events.
Summer Study Abroad
SCU has 63 students studying abroad this summer on 62 programs in 20 countries.
Undergraduate students can go abroad as soon as after their first year through summer programs. View the Study Abroad website for more information.

Students interested in study abroad and global stories - check out our Abroaden Your Horizons Podcast which highlights SCU student stories about study abroad, global programs, and diverse cultural experiences. This month’s podcast is: “Cultural Differences in Madrid, Spain with Veronica Flores,” where Global Engagement Ambassador and SCU junior Veronica Flores shares her best advice with future students on navigating life in Spain as a fluent Spanish speaker. |

Several topics covered in this episode include: overcoming language barriers stemming from diverse dialects, exploring cultural disparities between Americans and Spaniards, and discerning how to effectively prioritize time to optimize one's experience while studying abroad.
