Dear Students, Parents, Alumni, and Friends of the School of Engineering,
Broncos, as we approach the end of the spring quarter, let us take a moment to reflect and acknowledge our strides and accomplishments from this year. Let this catalyze growth, moving us forward with renewed determination and commitment to our goals. Before we begin the summer break, I want to inform you that this will be the last Five10 Report during my tenure as the Dean of the School of Engineering. At the end of the summer, I will go on sabbatical and then begin phased retirement. The search for a new dean is ongoing with a goal to have someone start in the fall. Now, I would like to highlight some exciting news and events that have occurred over the second half of the quarter. Read below about this year’s Senior Design recap, faculty promotions and award winners, and more in the final Five10 Report of this academic year.
Wishing you all the best,
Elaine

| Day of Giving Update: During the fundraising effort, ten challenges were met. In-kind contributions from four corporate partners to the Robotic Systems Lab, valued at more than $250,000, boosted the total to more than $578,570. This achievement secured our #1 ranking in both dollars received and the number of gifts (531) among academic units, continuing the School's 2023 standing. In addition to the impressive fundraising achievements during the Day of Giving, the Elaine Scott Women in Engineering Scholarship Fund deserves special recognition. This scholarship fund ranked #4 university-wide among “Transformational Scholarships.” The funds raised on Day of Giving play a crucial role in enhancing the student experience, providing scholarship opportunities, and supporting research initiatives. Thank you to all who went All In for Engineering! |
