Dear Friends of the School of Engineering,
While spring is the season known for rejuvenation, we in the world of academics know it is really fall that has us growing and stretching each year. This year, in particular, we began the fall quarter filled with anticipation and excitement. We are back on campus, together with our colleagues and students whom we have missed so deeply over the past year and a half, and it feels wonderful! We also welcome four new faculty members (another sign of growth), and we celebrate the completion of the Sobrato Campus for Discovery and Innovation and all that means for STEM education at SCU.
As we speed toward the season of Thanksgiving, I am grateful for our community of scholars. Read about some of them here--a CAREER Awardee, an ethics fellow, new and retiring colleagues, and more.
Best wishes for a fabulous fall,
Elaine
