Seniors: Are you planning to travel abroad as part of your Senior Design project?
For international projects, the IDEAS program manager serves as the Program Coordinator to advise and guide students through the approval and preparation process as per university travel policies.
If you think your team will want to travel overseas to conduct work on your senior design project, and you already know the country (& region), please contact the SCALED Program Manager (Ricardo Padilla, rpadilla@scu.edu) to begin the application process. The Travel Permission Application must be submitted to the Global Engagement Office at least 8 weeks prior to your proposed departure date.
International travel plans must be approved before purchasing airline tickets. Even if your plans are still somewhat “up in the air” and/or you haven’t received funding, you should request travel approval. Your travel may be denied if the application is submitted late.
