OUR PROGRAM

Students who earn a Master of Arts in Teaching and Teaching Credential - Multiple Subject degree are prepared for careers as elementary school or middle school teachers.  Coursework and clinical practice experiences prepare candidates to learn how to teach multiple subjects to diverse learners in a self-contained classroom. Individuals entering the multiple subjects program must demonstrate subject matter competence through the passage of the California Subject Examination for Teachers (CSET) Multiple Subjects, course equivalence, or approved majors. Students must provide subject matter competency in order to receive a student teaching placement or to be eligible for the intern pathway.

Units: 59 quarter units 
Program Length:  1 year (12 months, full time); 2 year (21 months, part time year 1; full-time year 2)
Start Dates: Fall, Winter, Summer
Instructional Modality: On campus or online
