Student Research Fellow
I am Yesenia Magdaleno, also known as Yesi. This year is my third year at SCU as a Sociology and Spanish double major with hopes to continue my education in the higher education field and/or counseling realm. In the past few years, I have been able to experience a variety of positions revolving around higher education in low-income and minority schools in Monterey, Santa Clara, and Campbell counties. Working with first-generation students and being one myself, I appreciate those who help me build bridges, and I hope to do the same through the research and work that the Latinx Education Research Center is doing. My favorite dicho: "Ponte las pilas."
