Preparing a more informed SCU Community
November 5, 2024 is Election Day in the United States, and in addition to the U.S. Presidential Election, elections are being held for all members of the U.S. House of Representatives, as well as local and state offices and state/local measures.
We encourage our SCU community to reflect on what its means to be a part of a pluralistic democracy, one in which governments make decisions as a consequence of the interaction between groups and organizations who have different ideas and contrasting arguments.
As a place of learning, SCU is committed to providing opportunities for all members of the community to engage is dialogue and discussion on topics and issues related to Election 2024. In addition, SCU is providing resources and information for all eligible members of our community in their participation in the Election.
A number of campus partners have come together to develop a schedule of events and programs designed to engage the university community. We encourage everyone to take advantage of these opportunities to become more informed and more engaged.
