Timing
Tours are scheduled Tuesday-Thursday at 10 a.m. when the museum is open to the public, and last approximately one and a half hours. For groups unable to make the 10 a.m. tour time, exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis. We ask that groups arrive promptly for their tour in order to ensure the highest quality experience.
Group Size
At this time, the museum has the capacity to host one class (or the equivalent of 33 students) plus chaperones per tour slot. Unfortunately, we are unable accommodate school groups larger than one class due to capacity restraints in the museum facility. If your group exceeds the maximum number of participants and/or your school wants multiple classes to participate in a tour, please consider splitting the group and reserving multiple dates for your tour. Booking Process
Please visit our Docent Tour Booking Form to view available dates for tour and to reserve your desired date.
After the date is reserved through the Booking Form museum docents are given an opportunity to sign up for the tour. When all docent spots are filled, the museum will send a letter confirming your tour date. Please note, tours are not considered confirmed until the confirmation letter is sent. Upon receiving the confirmation letter, your school must then submit insurance paperwork to finalize the booking. Approximately one week prior to the tour, your Lead Docent will contact you to discuss the details of the tour and any special requests or accommodations.
If you do not find a date that works for you in our Booking Form, please email us at desaissetmuseum@scu.edu to be added to the waitlist. If and when more dates are added to the schedule, we will let you know.
