City Year is a non-profit that tackles educational inequity in our nation while giving young people an amazing transformative experience. Those who hear the call to service serve in schools that are in most need of our help. They serve as mentors sparking hope each and everyday as well as receive an extensive amount of coaching, professional development and get exposed to different career pathways throughout their service year. City Year is an extraordinary experience that they will always take with them wherever their career takes them. These Americorps members also receive great benefits during their service year such as a living stipend, a 6k education award, food allowance, health care and free public transportation!
