Cindy Cooper is a Silicon Valley native with expertise in launching industry innovations in consumer electronics, networking hardware & security software from the Fortune 500 to disruptive startups in the areas of public relations, corporate communications (in-house and Agency), strategic initiatives, partnering relationships and alliances. With a creative and entrepreneurial mindset, Cindy is guided by a motivation to learn, grow and connect. She has established several businesses including an award-winning Main Street shop curated with eclectic wares and simple luxuries recognized for its visual intrigue and one-of-a-kind finds.
Most recently, Cindy revitalized Santa Clara University’s Retail Management Institute and Retail Studies Student Association resulting in program growth, expanded visibility, and refreshed processes to align with department strategy and goals. She produced the first Digital Merchandising Certificate Program with Bloomreach and designed and implemented exposure for students to attend Shoptalk, a retail industry conference, and created an essential program framework to realize a thriving RMI Community for its retail studies students.
As a California History Docent @ deSaisset Museum, Cindy shares with elementary school students the Mission Santa Clara de Asis, its grounds, and a view of the life of Ohlone people and the Mission and Californio eras. As a Career Influencer connected with SCU’s Career Center, Cindy assists students in defining and discovering opportunities and paths to career possibilities. Cindy is a board member for non-profit organizations including Valley Village with leadership roles on the San Jose Symphonic board of directors and Silicon Valley Arts Coalition (SVAC).
Cindy delights in bringing an idea to life, writing, organizing, planning and the creative process. Where you will find her when she is not focused on CCIE - at the beach, at a museum, reading, traveling, at brunch, singing with SJSC or spending time with my family and friends.
