Dr. Sarita Tamayo-Moraga's Fall 2017 RSOC 9: Ways of Understanding Religion class and the connected Unity RLC Imagine Interfaith/Belief floor created an interfaith blog as their service project. Following the model of the Interfaith Youth Core founded by Eboo Patel, they used service as common ground from which then to discuss difference.

 

A virtual service website was created that would cheer people up about interfaith issues. The dominant media portrays religious difference as an inevitable prelude to conflict, so unlike that, this website contains alternate stories that don't get as much attention. Specifically, the class found stories that countered negative religious stereotypes, especially those of religious minorities.
