Note from the Chair
Dear Alumni and Friends,
As the quarter comes to a close and we approach the holiday season, I’m happy to greet you from the third floor of Kenna, where we have had a busy and productive fall. We welcomed several new faculty who have enhanced our department. In addition, we are in the midst of two tenure-track searches, so will continue to grow our ranks, for which we are grateful to the Dean. As you can see on these pages, our faculty have been busy well beyond the classroom, offering programming to our department and the university community, publishing books and articles, and presenting on research projects to academic communities both here and abroad.
As we head into the holiday season and the end of the calendar year, it is always a time to pause and reflect. I am grateful for this community of committed teacher-scholars and the impact they are making on students’ lives across the university, whether as teachers, mentors, or trusted confidantes. I do hope that you have things for which you are grateful, even in the midst of a world so much in tumult. With deep gratitude, I wish you the very best for this holiday season and for a Happy New Year.
