Jennifer Lehmann

Dr. Jennifer Lehmann received her B.A. in Religious Studies and Philosophy from Northeastern University and her M.A. and Ph.D. in Biblical Studies from the Graduate Theological Union. Dr. Lehmann’s primary area of research is in gender and sexuality in the Hebrew Bible with a particular focus on men and masculinity. Her dissertation, titled What is This You Have Done to Me? Male Victims of Sexual Violence in Genesis, explores the prevalence of male victims of sexual violence in the book of Genesis through a literary lens. Dr. Lehmann is also excited by the history of interpretation of Biblical texts and the use of the Bible in popular culture.
