Claudia Moutray received her B.A. from Oklahoma State University and her M.A. and Ph.D. from the California Institute of Integral Studies. Her doctorate was in Philosophy and Religion with a Concentration in Women’s Spirituality. Her research focuses on social and restorative justice, gender and women’s studies, conflict resolution, religious studies, and feminist and eco-feminist philosophy and activism.
In her other life, Claudia is also a swim coach, lifeguard, and aquatics program manager for the Boys & Girls Club of San Francisco. Aquatics has been a dominate part of her life for over 20 years. She loves mentoring youth and helping them work through their fears of the water, which can build confidence that carries over into all aspects of their lives.
