Clara Helm '25 selected for the 2023-24 Oxford Mansfield Program
Clara Helm will be representing Santa Clara University (SCU) as a visiting scholar at Oxford University’s Mansfield College during the 2023-24 school year.
The Oxford Scholarship is awarded annually through SCU’s University Honors Program. Clara, along with a cohort of 30 visiting scholars from around the world, will spend her junior year immersed in concentrated study in her area(s) of interest.
Clara will be studying political science and literature, specifically, the intersection between 18th-century women authors and connections to their political climates. She hopes this experience will allow her to deepen her understanding of recovery work in English studies and be able to grow in her application of politics within book history.
