My teaching and research focus on ethics and human language. I am especially interested in how we use words like ‘good,’ ‘bad,’ ‘right,’ ‘wrong,’ ‘ought’ and ‘must’ in different languages, contexts, and cultures. I work in philosophy of language, meta-ethics, Chinese philosophy, business ethics and aesthetics.
