Recognition, Well Deserved
The College of Arts and Sciences recognized faculty and staff for excellence in teaching, research, and service to students and the community at this year’s annual Convocation.
This year, a dozen faculty and staff in the College of Arts and Science were recognized at the College of Arts and Science’s annual Convocation. Kicking off the new academic year, Convocation marked a joyous time—the first in-person event on a large scale since we transitioned to remote teaching and learning in March 2020.
“During the year, I was struck, over and over, by how engaged, dedicated, and resilient, our Santa Clara University community was,” said Daniel Press, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. “It was frankly remarkable that so much excellent teaching, learning, research, and service—service in the communitarian sense of the word—happened under such challenging constraints.”
While many faculty and staff went above and beyond throughout the past year, the College recognized the following individuals for excellence in their respective areas.
