Amica Harris ‘24 leads tour for Italian students
On May 3, Amica Harris ‘24 (Economics and Italian Studies Major) had the opportunity to lead a tour of Santa Clara University for a group of MBA students from Politecnico di Milano. The group was visiting the Bay for the week, attending seminars and exploring the area. The tour began at the Mission Church, where they were able to see "Santa Chiara" and connect it to Saint Claire of Assisi. They then walked through the mission garden and admired the historic mission walls and observatory, which were different from what they were used to seeing in Milan.
The dorms, particularly Swig, were a highlight of the tour. After passing through Benson, the Bronco Corner Store was the most exciting part for many visitors, who shopped and left with new SCU swag. The tour concluded with a walkthrough of the Sobrato Campus for Discovery and Innovation (SCDI), which included a sustainability exhibit from the previous week's tUrn event. Overall, it was a wonderful experience for the MBA Italian students to explore the beautiful campus of Santa Clara University with the help of one of our own Italian-speaking students.
