MAA Section meeting at SCU in 2017!
Officers of the Golden Section of the Mathematical Association of America (MAA) met at SCU on April 16 to plan next year's meeting. On March 4, 2017, mathematicians from Northern California, Nevada, and Hawaii (the "Golden" Section!) will gather for a mix of auditorium talks by celebrated speakers, poster sessions, and networking opportunities. There will even be a mathematical art show!
The executive committee of the section enjoyed perfect weather for viewing our beautiful campus. Partial support for the section meeting comes from the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science and from the College of Arts and Sciences.
