Congratulations to Agustin Pace, Mia Locatelli, and Joseph Caruso the three recipients of the 2022 Vari Italian Studies Fellowship!
Vari Italian Studies Fellows exemplify the best of a Jesuit education and receive awards for meaningful personalized learning opportunities such as faculty-mentored research assistantships, and mentored community-based internships. These awards are to support outstanding Italian Studies students at SCU. This initiative at SCU is generously supported by Dr. Victor and Julia Botto Vari.
Agustin Pace, a rising sophomore from Seattle, WA, is an Economics and Italian Studies double major and a Creative Writing minor. He will be a Vari Italian Studies Fellow at Museo Italo Americano during the summer of 2022.
Mia Locatelli, a rising junior from Santa Cruz, CA, is a Communication and Italian Studies double major. Mia's Vari Italian Studies fellowship will be at Museo Italo Americano over the summer of 2022.
Joseph Caruso, a rising senior from Santa Cruz, CA, is a Psychology major and Italian Studies minor. Joseph's Vari Italian Studies fellowship will be at the Italian American Heritage Foundation (IAHF) over the summer of 2022.
