Honoring Health Care Workers from a Kitchen Studio
Ryan Carrington has been teaching sculpture, site-specific, and professional practice courses at Santa Clara University since 2012. He earned his BFA at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and after undergraduate school, he spent 18 months as an artist-in-residence at the Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Colorado. He went on to receive his MFA from San Jose State University. He exhibits his work nationally, and has produced multiple large-scale public art commissions. In 2014 he received the Silicon Valley Creates Emerging Artist Laureate Award, and in 2019 he won best in show in the Greater Bay Area Open at the New Museum in Los Gatos, California.
