Sharon McMillan, SNDdeN, S.L.D.
The focus of my doctoral studies at the Pontifical Liturgical Institute at the Benedictine University, Sant'Anselmo in Rome, focused on ordination rites, in particular how the scriptural and liturgical texts are key to revealing the two-fold theology of ordination. Teaching at a major seminary allowed me to plunge into both the theology and precise pastoral practice that seminarians need for contemporary ministry. Currently my teaching has expanded to opening up the same inspirational theology and challenging pastoral practice for parishioners at all levels, particularly the dynamics of the Catechumenate Process. I currently serve as Chair of the Liturgical Commission for the Diocese of San Jose and offer my skills to the Cathedral Parish in the Diocese of Monterey.
