Lecturer, Graduate Program in Pastoral Ministries

Donald St. Louis, D.Min., has an abiding interest in the integration of psychology and
spirituality, and has been a counselor educator in a variety of settings. He earned his MDiv from
Loyola University of Chicago, his MA in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University, and
completed his D.Min. at the Catholic University of America. Founder and Director of the
California Institute for Sexual Recovery, he is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and
maintains a private practice of psychotherapy in Santa Clara. In SCU’s Counseling Psychology
program his teaching areas included Law and Ethics, Developmental Psychology, and LGBTQ+
Psychology. Dr. St. Louis was the architect of the LGBTQ+ Counseling Emphasis at SCU. In SCU’s
Graduate Program in Pastoral Ministries his courses focus on psychological issues in
spirituality.
