What are Our ESS Students Doing After Graduation?
So many different things!
We asked our students to tell us what their plans are for next year. This is what some of them said:
Chonsa Schmidt
I'll be working as a Hike Leader at Ring Lake Ranch in Wyoming. I'm looking for an Americorp position in Colorado for a more permanent job. I am very excited and looking forward to the new adventures.
Ayesha Ahmed
Along with maintaining my steadily growing vegetable garden and fruit trees, I have plans of traveling in the summer, along with reading 10 books that I have been wanting to read for a long time but haven't gotten a chance to. I will continue working with Hari through the summer writing a paper on the mechanics of atmospheric rivers. I will be starting grad school in Soils and Biogeochemistry at UC Davis in Fall 2018.

Just found out I got a Fulbright to do research in Ghana!

I am applying to graduate school next year. I will be interning at Esri in the summer, and I am still trying to figure out what to do for the rest of the year.

I'm spending a year doing volunteer work at the University of Dayton's Rivers Institute in Dayton, Ohio as a part of the Marianist PULSE Program.

I'm planning to go to grad school after SCU. I haven't made my final decision yet, but I will probably go to Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke for Master of Environmental Management (MEM) program.

Implementation Specialist at Lumity, Inc (health insurance startup) in Sacramento .

I'm working at the Santa Clara Valley Water District until June then moving to Florida to do coral restoration.
