Faculty Update: Lisa Kealhofer

Lisa Kealhofer is retiring!

Dr. Lisa Kealhofer is a professor in both the Department of Environmental Studies and Sciences and the Department of Anthropology. She has served as the Chair of Anthropology (2006-2013), Acting Director of the Environmental Studies Institute (2006), and as Interim Campus Archaeologist (2010-2013). Her upper division Historical Ecology and Food, Culture and the Environment classes were popular additions to our ESS curriculum. Since joining SCU, her research in Anatolia and Southeast Asia has been supported by grants totaling over $1.35 million. Over the course of her career, she has authored or coauthored nearly 100 publications—including a book, dozens of peer-reviewed journal articles, and chapters in peer-reviewed books—garnering over 3,100 citations. Though retiring, Lisa has many plans to continue her archeological research. Congratulations on your retirement Lisa!
