Nicholas Leither
Nick Leither teaches Critical Thinking and Writing at Santa Clara. He has taught at San Jose State, at UC Berkeley in the post-baccalaureate creative writing program, and at Saint Mary’s College, where he was the Associate Director of the Informal Curriculum—directing and producing plays, lectures, and seminars for the Great Books program.
He received his B.F.A. in film and television from New York University and his M.F.A. in creative writing from Saint Mary’s College. His fiction has appeared in the literary magazine Boulevard, and he has published two writing textbooks, Slant: Writing Essays You Want to Read and Dubliners with a Guide to the Craft of Fiction for Readers and Writers.
When he’s not teaching or writing fiction, Nick is building rustic, bentwood furniture in his workshop. His chairs are displayed at the Zonal Home Interiors gallery in San Francisco.
