"I am from Phoenix, Arizona. I started taking Latin classes in fifth grade and continued learning the language in middle school, high school, and now college. I have really enjoyed my work in many classes, but especially loved my Latin class on Apuleius' Metamorphoses and have decided to use this work for my senior capstone. The themes throughout the novel and the intricacies of the language itself really stood out to me and made it a text I keep wanting to come back to. I worked with Professor Husser of Biola University for the last 3 years and her research using Arval Brethren Inscriptions. I also did a Women Latinist's program in Florence, Italy focused specifically on female authors of the language. After SCU, I hope to attend law school next fall and look forward to seeing where that academic journey will take me. "
