"I’m a Phoenician from Phoenix, Arizona who was first drawn to Classics through the four years of Latin I took in high school, but it was when I first began Greek that I understood the depth of my passions for philology. It’s tough to pin down just one class I particularly enjoyed, but Professor Lindberg’s class on Greek democracy added a fascinating interactive element that really scratched that itch in my polisci brain for politicking and bargaining in a competition with my classmates. Another incredible experience I had through SCU was my chance to study abroad in Rome earlier this year, where I definitely became an impromptu tour guide for all things Roman and Latin when my family came to visit. Once I graduate I’m hoping to eventually attend law school, though I can’t say where at the moment."
