Nicholas Lindberg is an Assistant Professor of Classics. Originally hailing from Indiana, Nick received his BA in History from Marian University in 2010, his MA in History from Indiana University in 2012, and his PhD in History from the University of Virginia in 2019. He teaches courses on the history and culture of the Ancient Mediterranean at all levels. His research interests include Greek democracy, ancient environmental history, and Hellenistic history. His most recent article, “The Emperor and his Animals,” examined how Roman emperors acquired exotic animals for spectacles in Rome.
