Christopher Fuhrmann

Christopher Fuhrmann earned degrees from the University of Kentucky and the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. He is the author of Policing the Roman Empire (Oxford UP, paperback edition 2014) and has also published on ancient law, Dio Chrysostom, and Roman persecution of Christians. He is currently working on a book on the illegal slave trade in the ancient Mediterranean, and finishing an article on the Jewish Diaspora Revolt of 116-117 CE. His teaching interests are broad; at SCU this year he is teaching advanced Greek and Latin, Greek and Roman religion, and a class on reception.
