Artist's Statement
Through my work, I hope to unearth thoughts about the human relationship with waste and consumerism and the ways these dynamics affect the environment. Through the use of nontraditional materials, I hope to encourage viewers to take a second look at the way we interact with materials we deem disposable. I hope my work will spark a constructive narrative with the potential to redefine the worth of waste, re-examine its importance, and reconsider its presence, particularly in regards to its long-lasting environmental impacts.
