SCU Career Center Receives $15,000 Gift from Enterprise Mobility Foundation
SANTA CLARA, Calif., June 27, 2024—Santa Clara University Career Center has been gifted a $15,000 grant from the Enterprise Mobility Foundation™ to provide increased support for Diversity Works Expo & Awards and other career services initiatives. This gift is the largest-ever corporate grant to the Career Center in its 30-plus-year history.
A long-time supporter of the Career Center, Enterprise Mobility, began co-sponsoring Diversity Works in 2023 alongside ServiceNow. This sponsorship allowed the Career Center to dramatically increase the number and dollar amount of scholarship awards. Today, the Career Center distributes $1,000 awards to five individual students and five registered student organizations who have demonstrated an understanding of and commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in relation to their career goals. In addition to the awards ceremony, the event includes a buffet dinner, guest speakers, and a reverse career fair.
Diversity Works has been highlighted by Handshake, Inside Higher Ed, and the Mountain Pacific Association of Colleges and Employers.
Enterprise’s historic gift will help the Career Center continue to position Diversity Works as a career services best practice while also scaling its impact beyond the university as it grows into a flagship DEI event within the Silicon Valley region.
“Partnering with Enterprise Mobility has allowed us to highlight an excellent opportunity to work with an award-winning and values-aligned employer,” said Melissa Thiriez, Director of Employer Relations and Partnerships at Santa Clara University. “We plan to use Enterprise’s gift to expand and strengthen our work with our diverse student body and companies that value diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in the workplace at our flagship Career Center event, the Diversity Works Expo.” |

“Supporting the Diversity Works Expo & Awards is important because it aligns with Enterprise Mobility’s commitment to DE&I, which is embraced throughout the organization and driven by our team members who work in an environment where they are encouraged to bring their true self to work every day,” said Stacey Caceres, Enterprise Mobility’s Talent Acquisition Manager for the South Bay Region. “We are pleased to engage in events that promote equity and access to opportunities for all students.”
In addition to Diversity Works, Enterprise’s gift will support several other career development and employer engagement initiatives.
